Prestige School would like to welcome back all students and teachers from a well-deserved break.

The first week back to school has been productive and students are settling into their routines.

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”

-Rainer Maria Rilke

It’s that time of year again!

This month students in grades 1 – 8 will be writing speeches for the Royal Canadian Legion Public Speaking Contest in their English classes. At the end of January, students will present their speeches to the class and receive an English mark. The best students from each grade will have the chance to compete in this year’s public speaking contest.

The contest will take place Sunday, February 11th. English teachers will select participating students by Friday, February 2nd.

Good luck to all students. Have fun!

Attention high school students!

The end of the first term is coming to a close. High school final exams will take place from Friday, January 19th to Thursday, January 25th. Use your tutorials wisely and study hard.

Good luck!

On Thursday, January 11th, high school students received their preliminary report cards. These reports are to provide students feedback with their progress in their courses. Students still have time to improve their marks with the final exam.

During the coldest months of winter it is important that all students come to school in warm coats, gloves, scarves, hats, boots, and snow pants.

Students are outside three times a day; morning, after lunch, and after school. It is very important that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. As a safety precaution during the winter, students do not go outside when the temperature is below -10oC, but are still required to come to school dressed for the weather.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Prestige School’s high school basketball team will be participating in the U20 basketball season. Students have received a schedule of games from Mr. Nick. Students will be bused from school to all games. Students need to be dressed in sporting attire.

The first two games are Monday, January 15th at 4:00 p.m. vs North Toronto Christian School and Wednesday, January 17th at 5:00 p.m. vs Toronto Waldorf School.

Good luck Prestige Panthers!
