January’s character trait is PATIENCE.

Patience means being able to wait calmly in the face of frustration or adversity.

“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.”

– Joyce Meyer

Mrs. MacBean and the grade 2s performed a skit for students to understand the meaning of patience. Great job grade 2s!

On Thursday, December 20th, Kati K. (gr. 3), Anthony N. (gr. 4), Patricia B. (gr. 10), Ms. Irene, Mr. Briggs, and Mr. Konstantin brought the collected food to the Bathurst Fire Station 112. Thank you to all the students, parents, and teachers that donated food for this year’s food drive. Prestige School collected an impressive amount of food that will help many families in need this holiday season.

Thank you to Ms. Irene and Mrs. Fisher for organizing the food drive. Thank you to Mr. Briggs and the high school student council for helping with the food drive and keeping track of the points for each class.

The grade 1 class won the pizza party for donating the most items. Congratulations! They will receive their pizza party in January.

On Friday, December 21st, Prestige School presented Mme. Nicole with a “Baby’s First French Alphabet Book,” on her last day before maternity leave. Students and teachers coloured each letter and wrote a note for Mme. Nicole and her baby.

Congratulations Mme. Nicole and visit us in the new year with your bundle of joy.

Prestige School students had a fun filled day before the winter break. Students built and decorated gingerbread houses, performed a gingerbread experiment, made crafts, danced, and watched movies.

Prestige School had a surprise visit from Ms. Jennifer and her new baby, Thomas. Students and teachers were very happy to meet Thomas and see Ms. Jennifer again. Come back for a visit soon Ms. Jennifer and Thomas.
