PROM INFORMATION

We’re excited to inform you that preparation for this year’s prom is well underway!

It’s a Prestige School tradition to host an annual prom for students in grades 8 to 12. This is a formal evening of dining and dancing in celebration of the graduating students.

This year’s prom will be held at the Elite Grande Banquet Hall on Friday, May 31st at 7:30 p.m. We invite you to browse the venue’s website at

http://www.elitegranderestaurant.com

There is a formal dress code for all attendants. We have also hired a DJ to lead the night’s entertainment. Students will be able to request music.

Prestige School is renting a photo booth for the night, as it was a huge success in the pass years! We will be able to fund the rental if we have 100% participation from all students in grades 8 to 12. The price of a prom ticket is $130 per person and is due on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019.

Prestige School’s prom is a closed event, therefore if you would like to invite a guest who is not a Prestige School student, please contact the office.

MATHEMATICS CONTESTS

On Wednesday, April 10th, students in grades 8 to 11 participated in the Fryer Contest, Galois Contest, and Hypatia Contest offered by the University of Waterloo.

Students gave their best effort. Good luck to all that participated!

On Monday, April 15th, students in grades 3 to 5 will be writing the annual Canadian National Mathematics League contest.

SOCCER TOURNAMENT

On Tuesday, April 16th, select students in grades 5 to 7 will be participating in an invitational indoor soccer tournament.

Students need to meet Mr. Quick at 7:30 a.m. at Prestige School. The school bus will take students to the tournament. The bus will bring students back to school for the last two periods. Students need to be prepared for these classes.

Students will be provided lunch at the tournament. Students are welcome to bring their own snacks or lunch to supplement the provided lunch, as well as to bring water.

Students need to be in their Prestige School crested physical education uniform, wear running shoes or indoor soccer shoes (NO cleats) and bring shin guards.

Go Prestige Panthers!

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
