Halloween Celebrations!

Prestige School had a great time celebrating Halloween this year! Many students came dressed in their costumes, including creative costumes such as: a mad scientist, fries and ketchup and Steve from Mindcraft to name
a few! Students started off the celebration by enjoying a yummy pizza lunch. Then students got to spend the afternoon with their homeroom teacher decorating their classroom with lots of spooky and Halloween –related handmade decorations and then had a party enjoying goodies, playing games, decorating pumpkins and watching movies! Everyone had a fang-tastic time!

Character Trait Assembly: Gratitude

For the month of November, Ms. Catherine’s grade 5 class created and performed a skit for this month’s character trait on gratitude. The grade 5s taught us to be thankful and grateful for the things we have and to show an appreciation for and to return kindness to those who deserve it.

Not only did the grade 5s introduce gratitude, but they also handed out the character trait certificates to the students who best represented October’s character trait, which was responsibility. Those responsible winners
were:

Maksim F. (JK), Alice I. (Gr.1), Tamara R. (Gr.2), Eva K. (Gr.3), Sienna K. (Gr.4), Michael K. (Gr.5), Eric R. (Gr.6),
Beatrice and Sophia V. (Gr.7) and Francisca D. (Gr.8).

Great work students! Don’t forget to demonstrate gratitude this month!

U14 Elementary Soccer Tournament

Students from grade 7-8 took part in the U14 soccer tournament at The Hangar at Downsview Park. The Panthers gave it their all, managing to win two games and tie one.

Prestige Panthers made it to the quarter finales coming in fourth place
overall! A special shoutout goes out to David B. (gr. 7), Edwin (gr.8), Gabriel (gr. 7) and Anton (gr.8) for scoring the team’s goals, and Sasha B. (Gr.8) for saving many balls in goalie.

The Panthers showed great teamwork and school spirit. Great work Prestige Panthers!

DECA Online Competition Part. 1

On Wednesday, October 30th, The Prestige School DECA chapter took part in the online regional exam (part
one). All 15 students finished the exam and are getting ready for regionals part two on Saturday, November 23rd.

Good luck DECA students!
