MS READ-A-THON 2020
On Monday, January 27th, Mrs. MacBean will be putting on the read-a-thon kickoff assembly to get students ready and excited for our annual MS Read-a-thon Fundraiser. By reading books and earning money while doing so, students across Canada have raised millions of dollars for the MS Society to fund multiple sclerosis research and provide programs and services to individuals living with MS.
The read-a-thon starts on the day of the assembly and goes until Friday, February 14th. During this time, students will use the reading log to track their reading—the more they read, the more money they can raise! We will also be having a crazy hair day on Tuesday, February 11th. If you would like to participate, please bring $2. All the proceeds will go towards the MS fundraiser.
High School Exams
January’s field trips are coming up for KG– Gr.2 and Gr. 3-8. On Wednesday, January 29th, kindergarten to grade 2 will be going to Mississauga Living Arts Centre where they will take part and view the show The Magic School Bus: The Solar System. On January 30th, students from grade 3 to 8 will be going to The Chef Upstairs, where they will be cooking a three course meal!
Have fun!
