Volume 16 Issue 21 – February 7, 2020

On Friday, February 7, Paul M. (Gr. 11), Alice I. (Gr. 12), and Mila T. (Gr. 12) competed in the Provincial DECA Com-petition at the Toronto Sheraton Cen-tre.

Max M. (Gr.9), Nikita C. (Gr.9), Polina P. (Gr.9), and David D. (Gr. 9) participated in the Leadership Development Acade-my (LDA)

Ms. Yana accompanied students for this all-day event and was a judge.

Students brought their best to the com-petitions and were very proud of their achievements.

Great job students!

On Friday, February 7th, students in KG to grade 2 celebrated the 100th day of school. Students had a fun afternoon drawing portraits of, “what life will be like in a hundred years”, colouring crowns, making 100th day party glasses and doing 100 exercises.

Congratulations to all students for com-pleting 100 days of school!

For more pictures, check out the school’s gallery.

Just a friendly reminder that on Tuesday, February 11th will be crazy hair day to support our Multiple Sclerosis Read-a-thon Fundraiser! If students would like to come to school with crazy hair, they are asked to bring in $2 and submit it to your homeroom teacher.

We are very excited to see everyone’s creativity shine with all the amazing hair creations! Remember—this is for a great cause!

On Friday, February 14th, there will be a P.D. Day, which means no classes for students! Not only will there be no classes on Friday, but Monday is also a no school day! Monday, February 17th is Family Day , which means a day off to spend time with family and friends.

We hope all students enjoy their long weekend!

We have some new upcoming dates to add to your calendars! Here they are:

  • Graduation photos will be taking place on Friday, February 21st for students in senior kindergarten, grade 8 and grade 12. Students, make sure to come prepared with your best smiles!

  • On Tuesday, February 25th, students from grades 9-11 will be taking part in the Waterloo Math Competition. Students in grade 9 will be writing the Pascal Contest, students in grade 10 will be writing the Cayley Contest and students in grade 11 will be writing the Fermat Contest. This is a great opportunity for students to receive distinction or outstanding achievement and become ranked against other students in their grade level across Canada.

Good Luck Students!
