On Tuesday, December 14th, Prestige School had December’s character education assembly for COMPASSION. Many students have been compassionate this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

January’s character trait is HONESTY, which is when you speak and act truthfully. Mrs. Amanda and the grade 4s performed Aesop’s fable, The Woodcutter’s Honesty. Great job grade 4s!


Students in grades 5 to 7 participated in this year’s University of Waterloo Beaver Computing Challenge. This is a problem-solving contest with a focus on computational and logical thinking. The following students received certificates of distinction.

Prestige School students and teachers did an amazing job at donating unwrapped toys for the CHUM Christmas Wish. Thank you to everyone that donated. Your generosity will bring a smile to children’s faces this holiday season.


Prestige School students and teachers celebrated the new year in various ways.

KG to grade 3: On Monday, December 13th, students sang songs, recited poems, and had a surprise visit from Santa Claus. Students received special gifts from Santa Claus for their hard work all year. Thank you to Ms. Natanya, Ms. Veronica, Ms. Nana, Ms. Ivana, Mrs. MacBean, and Ms. Dana for organizing the concert.

Grades 4 to 8: On Friday, December 10th, students participated in a Masquerade Ball. Students had fun performing and playing games. Thank you to Ms. Olga, Ms. Irene, Ms. Stacy, Mr. Vlad, Ms. Tanya, and the grade 8s for their planning, decorating and hard work to have this event happen.

High School: On Friday, December 10th, students watched The Nightmare Before Christmas after school. Students enjoyed this classic film, Thank you to Ms. Brittney for organizing and supervising this event.
