CHARACTER EDUCATION

This Tuesday, December 13th, was December’s character education assembly. This month focused on gratitude. Many of the students have been grateful this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

January’s character trait is PATIENCE, which is waiting without getting upset. A patient person responds to situations with a positive outlook and attitude.

WINTER CONCERT

On Friday, December 16th, Prestige students performed The Nutcracker for this year’s winter concert. Parents, teachers, and students were amazed and enjoyed the concert. Check out our gallery for more pictures.

Thank you to Ms. Veronica and Ms. Ivana for making the concert possible – planning, teaching dances, decorations, set up, and ensuring students were prepared for the big day. Thank you to Ms. Dana, Mrs. MacBean, Mrs. Kristen and Ms. Irina for helping with the KG to grade 3 costumes, props, and dance rehearsals. Thank you to Ms. Catherine and the grade 8s for designing and making props. Thank you to Sheina (gr. 11) for narrating, and Anna (gr. 10) for making masks.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK

Prestige School will be having a Holiday Spirit Week from Monday, December 19th to Friday, December 23rd for $5 to help raise funds for our basketball team. If you haven’t paid, then make sure to bring $5 on Monday. If students do not pay $5, then they must be in full school uniform everyday of the week.

Below is the Holiday Spirit Week schedule. Any kind of holiday or winter themed clothing is acceptable for each of the days.

Monday: Wear your favourite holiday socks and favourite scarf.

Tuesday: Make your hair festive (crazy holiday themed hair) or wear your favourite holiday hat.

Wednesday: Wear red, white, and green clothes.

Thursday: Wear your favourite holiday pajamas (or regular pajamas if you don’t have holiday ones).

Friday: Wear an ugly holiday sweater or your favourite holiday shirt.
