CHARACTER EDUCATION
On Tuesday, February 21st, was February’s character education assembly. This month focused on inclusivity. Many of the students have been inclusive this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

March’s character trait is ATTENTIVENESS, which is showing the worth of a person by giving full concentration to his or her words.
Ms. Irina and the grade 1s recited a poem to show what attentiveness means. Great work!
COMPETITION ACHIEVEMENTS
Prestige School students love a challenge and participate in various competitions throughout the year. Here are the students that excelled in the Beaver Computing Challenge. Prestige School is proud of you all!
Grade 5/6: There were 8376 contestants this year and the following students received certificates of distinction.
1st Place: Elia (gr. 5)

4th Place: Alisa (gr. 6)
Grade 7/8: There were 11 241 contestants this year and the following students received certificates of distinction.

3rd Place: Nathan (gr. 8), Andrei (gr. 8), Morgan (gr. 8), and Tom (gr. 7)
4th Place: Nicolas J. (gr. 8) and Nicolas B. (gr. 8)
FIELD TRIPS
On Friday, February 24th, students in grades 6 to 8 went to Evergreen Brick Works. Students had fun skating and roasting apple slices by the fire. Check out our gallery for more pictures.
On Thursday, March 2nd, students in KG to grade 5 went on the following field trips:
KG to grade 2 students went to LEGOLAND to explore the Tall Towers and Pulleys & Gears programs. Students had fun building with Lego and exploring the Lego sculptures. Check out our gallery for more pictures.
Grade 3 to 5 students went to Evergreen Brick Works to participate in the Fire Challenge. Student had fun learning the basics of safe fire building and participated in exciting team building challenges. Check out our gallery for more pictures.
MS READ-A-THON
Prestige students and teachers raised $1478.09, which was just shy of our $1800 goal this year. Prestige School did raise more than last year, which is great!
Everyone should be proud of the great work accomplished this year. The MS Society of Canada will be very grateful for Prestige School’s donation.
Thank you to everyone that donated. Thank you to Mrs. Amanda for organizing the MS Read-A-Thon every year.
CRAZY HAT DAY
Crazy Hat Day was a success! On Monday, February 27th, students and teachers were extremely creative with their hats. All proceeds went towards the MS Read-a-Thon.
