On Monday, March 27th, was March’s character education assembly. This month focused on attentiveness. Many of the students have been attentive this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

April’s character trait is ENTHUSIASM, which is the ability to bring life and excitement to different situations.

Mrs. MacBean and the grade 2s performed a skit to show what enthusiasm means. Great work!

On November 16th, students in grades 9 to 11 wrote the University of Waterloo Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics contests. The results are:

Canadian Intermediate Mathematics Contest (8450 contestants):

1st Place: Reginald (gr. 9) received certificate of distinction

2nd Place: Max (gr. 10) received certificate of distinction

Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest (9895 contestants):

1st Place: Felix and Jacob (gr. 12) received medals and certificates of distinction.

On March 1st, students in grades 5 to 7 wrote the Math League contest. Grade 5 students took a challenge and wrote the grade 6 level contest. They performed exceptionally well. The results are:
