After School Programs

The Prestige School offers after school programs in both the Toronto and Richmond Hill campuses. Program will run from 3:50 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Students will get help with their homework preparation as well as tutoring in variety of school subjects. They will have the opportunity to participate in variety of extracurricular activities and clubs.

Art Club
Younger students enrolled in this club will delve into crafty projects involving glue, glitter, paint, and clay. Older students will dabble in clay sculpting and painting, and sketching techniques. Club members can look forward to learning and applying new techniques each and every week.

Music Club
Students will be introduced, or will continue on, with developing their piano playing skills. Additionally, students will collaboratively prepare for concerts and recitals.

Scrapbook Club
Scrapbooking is a crafting trend anyone can follow. Students will have accomplished by year’s end their own scrapbook to take home and share with their families.

Math Club
This weekly workout for the mind encourages students to strengthen their math skills, and improve their abilities to grasp mathematical concepts with ease. Students of the Math Club also prepare for province-wide competitions such as the Gauss Math Contest held annually.

Computer Club
As an extension to Computer Studies taken during the regular school day, Computer Club offers students a chance to explore more deeply the topics of computer animation and digital art. Younger students develop problem solving and logic skills through various computer games, while familiarizing themselves with computer hardware such as the mouse and keyboard.

Basketball Club
Basketball club gives students the opportunity to get active and participate in a team sport. Students gain the basic skills and learn the rules of this originally Canadian sport, while training for friendly games with other schools.

Soccer Club
Students will develop their coordination through drills and exercises, and learn the rules of the game through house-league play. Students will also prepare for soccer tournaments with other schools.

Reading Club
This leisurely club is designed for readers at all levels. Avid readers can come out and share their new literary treasure with other readers, while readers striving for fluency can seek assistance from the club leader or another club member. A small circle is held at the beginning and end of each club session to share new book titles, strategies, and to discuss the novel each member has at that time.

Chess Club
Chess is strategic game that demands focus and discipline. Chess club leaders teach the basic rules of the game as well as helpful strategies to get to the final check-mate. Chess club is designed for players at all levels. Beginners are encouraged to come and try this game of wits, while more experienced players are challenged to come and play with other players like themselves.
