On May 8th, 1945, German troops throughout Europe finally laid down their arms during World War II, marking the victory of the allied forces. The signing of the German Instrument of Surrender late in the evening on 8 May 1945 ended almost six years of suffering across the world and signified the courage, unity and endurance of the allied forces. Victory Day was observed on May 8, 1945, in Great Britain, Western Europe, the United States and Australia, and on May 9 in the Soviet Union and New Zealand. This is a pivotal and momentous holiday in Europe and a day of commemoration and rejoicing.
We encourage parents to visit our school and apply for an admission year round.
