Mathematics

In mathematics, we will focus on patterning, problem solving, data management, geometry, and numeracy skills. Counting to 100, addition and subtraction up to ten, graphing and sorting, and identifying three-dimensional and two-dimensional shapes will be areas that we will be concentrating on.
Small activities to practise mathematical concepts may be sent home from time to time. Students are encouraged to do them to not only practise, but to give you, at home, an idea of what is being explored in class. To ensure the assignments have been done well, the students are asked to bring back the work the next school day.
