DECA
The DECA club has started February off with Provincials. On February 4th and 8th, students wrote part 1 of the Provincials online. On February 7th, Ms. Yana and the following students went to the Toronto Sheraton Centre to compete in role plays that were judged by a panel of judges. Ms. Yana was judging the Personal Financial Literacy category.

Beatrice (gr. 12), this year’s DECA President, placed top 15 in Ontario for her category. Richard (gr. 11), next year’s DECA President, placed top 20 in Ontario for his category. Congratulations, Prestige School is proud of you both!
All students did an amazing job, and will have their business lunch on Tuesday, February 11th at Ichiban Sushi Bar to discuss their successful events and next year’s plans to represent Prestige School at the Intellectual Business Leadership Competitions. Thank you to Ms. Yana for helping students prepare and for accompanying them to competitions.
FIELD TRIP
On Tuesday, February 4th, students in grades 5 to 8 went to Lakeridge Ski Resort to spend the day tubing. Students enjoyed flying down the hill with their friends on a beautiful winter day. Check out our gallery for more pictures.
MP EHSASSI
Mrs. Amanda and the grade 4s are learning about Canadian government in social studies. On Friday, February 7th, the grade 4s had a special visitor, Willowdale’s member of parliament. MP Ehsassi took the time to speak about what working in parliament is like and answered any questions students had. Thank you to Mrs. Amanda for organizing a memorable event for the grade 4s.
100th DAY OF SCHOOL
On Friday, February 7th, students in KG to grade 3, celebrated the 100th day of school. Students spent period three participating in fun activities, and shared their 100 collections with each other. Students and teachers had fun! Thank you to Ms. Michelle and Mrs. MacBean for organizing and creating enjoyable memories for our students! SCHOOL UNIFORM REMINDER
Prestige School has an enforced dress code. Students must wear the school crested white top, navy pants, and black dress shoes. The vest and sweater must have the school crest.
Many students have been wearing non-uniform sweaters, which disregards the school dress code. Please order your child a school crested sweater for the winter months, so they will not receive warning emails or letters.
