Why Prestige School Summer School

One focused month. One full credit.

Prestige School offers Ontario Ministry of Education credit courses through the summer. Each credit earned appears on the Ontario Student Transcript exactly as one earned during the regular school year, and counts toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Classes stay small and the pace stays purposeful, so students reach genuine understanding rather than simply completing a course. Every student is known by name and supported by an experienced teacher from the first day to the last.

Three Reasons to Enrol

Recover, reach ahead, or lighten the year.

01

Credit Recovery

Did not earn the mark you hoped for this year? Repeat the course over the summer and let the higher result stand on the transcript before September.

02

Reach Ahead

Strong students can complete a course early — opening room for an additional elective, a spare period, or a more ambitious timetable next year.

03

Lighten the Year

Move one demanding course to the summer so the regular school year carries a more manageable and focused course load.

How the Summer Works

A complete credit in eight focused weeks.

An Ontario credit represents 110 hours of instruction. Through the summer session, classes run Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. with a half-hour lunch, so students complete the full credit between July 6 and August 28.

Daily attendance matters. Because the material moves quickly, the program suits motivated students who are able to commit to the entire session.

Common Questions

What parents and students ask most.

Does the credit count toward the OSSD?

Yes. Credits earned in the summer session appear on the Ontario Student Transcript and count toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, exactly as credits earned during the regular year.

Can students from other schools enrol?

Absolutely. Summer courses are open to students from any school. We provide the documentation your home school needs in order to record the credit.

How much does a course cost?

Per-credit fees vary by course. Please contact our office for current pricing — we are glad to walk you through the details.

Is the course recognized for university admission?

Yes. A summer credit appears on the transcript exactly as any other Ontario credit and is considered in university admission the same way.

What if my child needs to recover a credit?

Many summer students repeat a course to improve a result. The higher mark is the one that stands on the transcript.

Classes begin July 6. Seats are limited.
