About Prestige

Designed for children who deserve more than ordinary.

For over two decades, Prestige School has supported the development of capable learners into confident, well-educated young adults across our Toronto and Richmond Hill campuses, through a commitment to high expectations, inquiry-based learning, and holistic student growth.

Who We Are

A school built on the belief that every child has more to give.

Prestige School is a co-educational, non-denominational day school, deeply rooted in our commitment to fostering intellectual growth and character development. With campuses in Toronto and Richmond Hill, our school is a thriving community where wisdom, courage, and integrity are at the heart of everything we do.

We offer tailored programs from Kindergarten through Grade 12, with small classes and high academic standards that meet and exceed Ontario requirements. Our curriculum is rigorous, our classes are intentionally small so every student gets the attention they deserve, and we are fully inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Founded in 2003, Prestige School has grown from a single campus into two thriving school communities serving families across Toronto, North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Thornhill, and Markham.

Rigorous. Accessible.

With a teaching philosophy that believes in the capability of young minds, Prestige School offers an advanced curriculum. From a young age, students are engaged in accelerated learning with a focus on mathematics, sciences, and a balanced approach to education. The Prestige curriculum exceeds Ontario Ministry requirements — separate sciences from Grade 4, French from Junior Kindergarten, and university prep counselling from Grade 9.

Wholesome. Excellent.

Our academic rigour is matched by our commitment to nurturing the whole person. We believe that education is not just about intellectual growth, but also about developing character, empathy, and a sense of global responsibility. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students academically while also fostering emotional intelligence, social skills, and ethical values.

Close-knit. Diverse.

Prestige School prides itself on a diverse, close-knit community where students and parents from various backgrounds form strong, supportive bonds. Our smaller class sizes and inclusive culture foster deep connections, creating a welcoming environment for all. Students from across Toronto, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Thornhill, and internationally all find community here.

Message from the Head of School

A word from our Principal

The dedication of our staff plays a huge role in the success of our students. Our close-knit community, made possible by small class sizes, ensures that each of our students receives an individualized education. You will never have to wonder how your child is doing; our teachers will tell you because they care.

Located in the diverse city of Toronto, Prestige School prides itself on a student body that reflects the multicultural character of our city. Our school welcomes international students from all corners of the world, with some of our students speaking several languages. It is for this reason that Prestige School offers language courses as early as preschool.

However, academics are not enough to develop a well-rounded child. That is why we pride ourselves on our community — the taste of every food imaginable during our International Café, the sound of ear-splitting cheers on Sports Day, the sight of our graduates walking proudly across the stage, diplomas in hand. It is the feeling of making a difference.

Happy learning!

Family Stories

The families behind the numbers.

The Martinez Family

From a class of 32 to a class of 16

When our son started Grade 3 at his public school, there were 32 students in his class. He's a quiet kid — not the type to put his hand up. His teacher admitted at parent-teacher night that she 'hadn't gotten to know him yet.' It was November. We toured Prestige the following week. Within a month of starting, his teacher called us — not for a problem, but to say she'd noticed he had a real aptitude for math and wanted to move him into the advanced problem set. That kind of attention simply isn't possible with 30 kids in a room. He's now in Grade 6 and consistently places in regional math competitions. The boy who used to say school was 'fine' now says it's his favourite part of the day.

The Kim Family

An international student who found her voice

Our daughter arrived from Seoul in Grade 10 with conversational English but no academic English. We were terrified she'd fall behind. The ESL programme at Prestige met her exactly where she was — intensive support in the morning, regular classes in the afternoon, and teachers who never once made her feel like she was holding anyone back. By Grade 11, she'd transitioned fully out of ESL. By Grade 12, she was helping other international students settle in. She graduated with an 89% average and was accepted to the University of Waterloo's Computer Science programme. She still calls her Grade 10 English teacher her favourite teacher of all time.

The Thompson Family

Two siblings, two campuses, one standard

We have a daughter at the Toronto campus and a son at Richmond Hill. What amazes us is the consistency — same values, same expectations, same quality of teaching at both locations. Our daughter started in JK and is now in Grade 4. She speaks French with confidence, studies science as three separate subjects, and recently told us she wants to be a marine biologist. Our son transferred in Grade 7 from a school where he was getting straight A's without trying. Within his first term at Prestige, he was challenged for the first time — and loved it. He's now in Grade 9 and already has a university counselling plan. Two different kids, two different needs, both thriving.

FAQ

Common questions about Prestige School.

What grades does Prestige School offer?

Prestige School offers programs from Junior Kindergarten (JK) through Grade 12 at both our Toronto and Richmond Hill campuses.

How many students are in a class?

Class sizes are capped at 18 students. Kindergarten maintains a 10:1 student-teacher ratio. This is a deliberate pedagogical choice — not a marketing point.

Is Prestige School approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education?

Yes. Prestige School is fully inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Our school registration numbers are 66 63 94 (Toronto) and 66 59 49 (Richmond Hill). All credits are recognized by Ontario universities and colleges.

What is the IB programme at Prestige School?

Our Richmond Hill campus is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for Grades 1–6, beginning September 2024.

Does Prestige School offer before and after school care?

Yes — at no additional charge. Students may be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. and picked up until 6:00 p.m. at both campuses.

Can students transfer mid-year?

Yes. Prestige School accepts students at all grade levels throughout the school year. Midyear transfers are common and supported with care.

What struck me most was the International Café — watching my daughter try foods from ten different countries, surrounded by classmates she genuinely considers family. This school isn’t diverse because it says so on a website. It just is.

We moved from a school with 600 students. Here, the principal knows my son’s name, his favourite subject, and what he had for lunch. That alone was worth the switch.
