Student Life

Athletics

Physical education, competitive sports clubs, inter-school events, and a 2-acre supervised playground — because active students are better learners.

Our Approach

Sport builds character. We take it seriously.

At Prestige School, physical education is not an afterthought. All students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 participate in three periods of Physical Education per week. Our sports clubs extend this commitment after hours.

Following lunch each day, students are taken to our 2-acre playground, supervised by teachers at a ratio of one staff member for every fifteen students. Sports and cooperative games are encouraged to build team skills, physical literacy, and healthy habits.

We believe that students who move well, compete graciously, and recover from setbacks on the field carry those skills into the classroom and into life.

Programs & Events

Sport at Prestige School, in detail.

Basketball

Our Basketball Club teaches the fundamentals of the sport — dribbling, passing, defence, and team positioning — while organizing inter-school friendly matches throughout the year. Students at all skill levels are welcome.

Soccer

Structured drills and house-league play develop coordination, game sense, and teamwork. Our soccer program prepares students for inter-school tournaments and builds the physical confidence that carries into other areas of school life.

Tennis

An individual sport with strong team benefits. Our tennis program welcomes first-time players and experienced ones alike, with focused drills that develop consistency, patience, and court awareness.

Physical Education

All students at Prestige School participate in Physical Education three periods per week across all grades. Our PE curriculum covers individual and team activities, fundamental movement skills, and health education.

Sports Day

An annual whole-school event that brings together students from across grade levels for friendly competition, community celebration, and physical activity. Sports Day is one of the most anticipated events on the Prestige School calendar.

Terry Fox Run

Each year, Prestige School students participate in the Terry Fox Run — a school-wide fundraising run that builds community spirit and connects students to one of Canada's most important stories of courage and perseverance.
