Tuesday, June 16th, was June’s character education assembly. This month focused on determination. Many of the students have been determined this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

Prestige School had graduation ceremonies for our SK, grade 8, and 12 students this month. Students proudly received their certificates and diplomas. Good luck next year in grade 1, high school and university! Prestige School would like to wish all our graduating students success in their futures. We are proud of you all!

On Friday, June 5th, students in grades 8 to 12 celebrated prom. Prestige School was excited to celebrate our graduating grade 8 and 12 students at BOMOND Restaurant. Teachers and students had a wonderful evening dancing, eating and celebrating another successful year!

On Tuesday, June 16th, students in grades 6 to 8 received certificates for the Gauss and Algebra 1 mathematics contests. Congratulations to the following students for excelling. Prestige School is proud of you all!

On Thursday, June 11th, Prestige School held its End of Year Concert on the big stage! Students performed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for their parents and loved ones. Homeroom classes danced as well. Everyone looked amazing!

SPORTS DAY

On Wednesday, June 3rd, Prestige School held it’s annual Sports Day. Students worked together to compete against other teams and had fun all day! Thank you to Ms. Vanessa and her grade 10 Leadership class for planning Sports Day. Everyone enjoyed the activities!

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

Prestige students raised $1394 for Jump Rope for Heart! Charlotte and Lailah (KG) received a prize bag from Jump Rope for raising the most money. Thank you to everyone that donated.

Prestige students in grades 1 to 8 have been training all year for the SSAF track and field events. They ran their best andhad a fun day. The following students won medals for their events. Congratulations and Prestige School is proud of you all!

June 1 – U12 & Elementary

Kwon (gr. 7): Elementary Gold 100m, Gold 200m, Gold 100m Boys Relay, Silver Running Long Jump

Arthur (gr. 8): Elementary Gold 100m Boys relay and Gold Running Long Jump

Alex (gr. 7): Elementary Gold 100m Boys Relay

Timur (gr. 8): Elementary Gold 100m Boys Relay

Katya (gr. 6): U12 Silver Standing Long Jump

David (gr. 6): U12 Gold Running Long JumpHonorable mentions:

Prestige School’s elementary team placed 4th out 16 schools. missing 3rd by 1.5 points!

Prestige students were placing in the top 10 of all their races.

The elementary girls relay team came in 4th.

The U12 boys relay team came in 4th.

Luisa, Tamara and Amrit (gr. 8) finished consecutively in the 800m with 5th, 6th and 7th with a difference of milliseconds between them.

Nicole (gr. 3): U10 Bronze Running Long Jump

Honorable mentions:

Nicole (gr. 3) finished 4th for the 100m.

Jayden (gr. 3) finished 4th in both the 100m and 200m.

Charlotte (gr. 4) made an amazing comeback in the 800m. She went from 20th to 4th!
