CHARACTER TRAIT AWARDS

On Tuesday, October 28th was October’s character education assembly for INCLUSIVITY. Many students have been inclusive this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:
JK: Charlotte
SK: Michelle
Gr. 1: Zachary and Sienna
Gr. 2: Carmen
Gr. 3: Emilia
Gr. 4: Aliya
Gr. 5: Elizabeth
Gr. 6: Sophia B.

November’s character trait is COMPASSION, which means being concerned for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Mrs. MacBean and the grade 1s prepared skits to show what compassion is. Great job grade 1s!
MOVIE FUNDRAISER

On Friday, October 17th, Prestige School’s DECA team organized a fun afternoon for students in KG to grade 5. Students enjoyed watching “Sing” with their friends and their stuffies. Thank you to Ms. Yana and the DECA team for organizing this fun event.

RAFFLE WINNERS

Congratulations to Lailah (SK) and Audrey (gr. 3) for winning the Blue Jays Bobble Heads Raffle.
Thank you to all students that bought tickets! All proceeds will go towards purchasing two new SMART Boards. Thank you to Joshua’s mom (gr. 8) for donating the bobble heads.
ECHO THE GECKO

The grade 5 class had the chance to step into the role of science teacher for a day as they introduced the kindergarten students to their classroom companion, Echo the crested gecko. They explained how they care for him, what he eats, and what his habitat needs to stay healthy. The younger students were fascinated as the grade 5s gently showed them Echo up close and answered their questions with patience and confidence. It was a great moment of leadership, responsibility, and a little bit of science fun, giving the grade 5s a real taste of what it feels like to guide and teach others. Great idea Ms. Vanessa! Check out our gallery for more pictures.

Prestige students and teachers had fun dressing up for Halloween. Everyone had amazing costumes! High school students also planned fun activities, such as, decorating pumpkins, a colouring contest, and trick or treating. Thank you to Ilana and Alice (gr. 11) for organizing this creative event and uniting the Prestige School community. Check out our gallery for more pictures.
