Volume 22 Issue 09 – January 30, 2026

Tuesday, January 27th, was January’s character education assembly. This month focused on accountability. Many of our students have shown accountability this month, but some have shown noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

JK: Valerie

SK: Victor

Gr. 1: Benjamin

Gr. 2: Vladislav

Gr. 3: Nicole

Gr. 4: Ariel

Gr. 5: Nicole and Lucas

Gr. 6: James

Gr. 7: Stephanie

Gr. 8: Lucas

February’s character trait is EMPATHY, which means the ability to understand and connect to the feelings of another. Ms. Jennifer and the grade 7s performed a skit to explain the meaning of empathy. Great work!

SCHOOL UNIFORM REMINDER

Volume 22 Issue 09 – January 30, 2026

Prestige School has an enforced dress code. Students must wear the school crested white top, navy pants, and black dress shoes. The vest and sweater must have the school crest.

Many students have been wearing non-uniform sweaters, which disregards the school dress code. Please order your child a school crested sweater for the winter months, so they will not receive warning emails or letters.

Thank you for your cooperation!

INDOOR/OUTDOOR SHOES

Students must have separate indoor and outdoor shoes. During the winter, students should have warm boots for outdoor shoes. Indoor shoes should be black dress shoes. For physical education classes, students should have separate clean running shoes.

Please remember shoes need to be changed after recess and to bring shoes back after the weekend or breaks.

Thank you for your cooperation!

WINTER WEATHER

Winter in Canada means freezing temperatures at times. Administration would like to remind students to come to school dressed for the winter weather. This means long sleeves, winter hats, scarves, gloves, boots, winter coats and snow pants. Students should be prepared for going outside everyday. Teachers check the weather before recess. If the temperate is below -10C, then students will have indoor recess.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
