Character Education

Character Education

This Tuesday, October 27th, was October’s character education assembly. This month focused on gratitude. Many of our students have been gracious this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

  • JK: James
  • SK: Cynthia
  • Gr. 1: Lailah
  • Gr. 2: Natalia
  • Gr. 3: Carmen and Lucas W.
  • Gr. 4: Audrey
  • Gr. 5: Ariel
  • Gr. 6: Daniel
  • Gr. 7: James
  • Gr. 8: Aran

November’s character trait is INITIATIVE, which is seeing what needs to be done and doing it. Mrs. Amanda and the grade 7s performed skits to show examples of initiative. Great work!

Downey’s Farm Field Trip

On Thursday, October 22nd, Prestige students in KG to grade 4 went to Downey’s Farm (opens in a new tab). Students explored the farm, played various farm activities, visited farm animals, went on a wagon ride, and brought home a small pumpkin. Students and teachers had fun! Check out our gallery for more pictures.

Elementary Movie Afternoons

On Tuesday, October 27th, and Wednesday, October 28th, elementary students enjoyed a movie afternoon with their friends. Prestige School would like to thank our high school student council and Ms. Yana for organizing this event for elementary students. A big thank you to Daniel’s (gr. 1) family for the monetary donation towards our sports programs and to Charlotte (KG) and Lailah’s (gr. 1) family for donating snacks for the movie afternoons. We appreciate the generosity!

High school student council fundraisers this year will help support Prestige School’s sports programs and make participation in soccer, basketball, and other sports more affordable for our students.

Fundraising efforts like this one, have helped reduce participation costs for families. This year’s soccer tournament participation fee is significantly lower and more affordable per child. Every contribution helps us continue to create opportunities for our students to participate in sports, develop teamwork, and enjoy the many benefits of being part of a team, while also helping provide essential sports equipment and other resources needed for our athletic programs.

Thank you for your continued support, generosity, and commitment to the Prestige School community!
