Kindergarten:

Wellness

We incorporate a dedicated rest-time following the lunch period. This period, lasting approximately an hour to an hour and a half, provides students with an opportunity to nap or engage in quiet rest on their cots. Following this rest period, students can participate in reading time or receive additional support for any specific lessons they need help with.

Why it’s important?

A designated rest-time is essential for young learners to rejuvenate and process the morning’s activities. It aids in maintaining focus, energy, and a positive mood throughout the rest of the school day. The post-rest period dedicated to reading or additional lesson support allows students to transition smoothly back into learning activities, ensuring they are ready to engage and absorb new information.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Development of healthy rest habits.
  • Enhanced focus and energy for afternoon activities.
