CHARACTER EDUCATION
This Tuesday, November 28th, was November’s character education assembly. This month focused on gratitude. Many of the students have been grateful this month, but some have been noticeably more. The students who received this month’s certificate are:

December’s character trait is COMPASSION, which means concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Mrs. MacBean and the grade 3s recited a poem and explained the definition of compassion. Great work!
HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE
Prestige School is collecting toy donations for the 57th Annual CP24 Chum Christmas Wish Campaign. We believe in the importance of giving to children in need, so they have a very special holiday season.
Wishful Items Include:
– books, journals
– Lego, puzzles
– creative/craft supplies, playdough
– gift cards (Walmart/ Indigo)
-sport equipment
-infant and toddler developmental toys (Fisher Price or Leap Frog)
All unwrapped toy donations can be brought to Mrs. Kristen in the KG room. Gift cards or cheques (payable to “The Wish”) can be brought to Mrs. MacBean in the grade 3 room. Donations will be collected from November 20th to December 12th. Thank you for your donations.
SSAF SOCCER TOURNAMENTS
On Wednesday, November 15th, students in grades 3 and 4 participated in the SSAF U10 soccer tournament. They won all 5 games and came in 1st place out of 11 schools! Amazing teamwork! Students received their medals at the character education assembly on Tuesday, November 28th. Thank you to Emre and Sasha (gr. 11) for helping at the game.
On Thursday, November 23rd, students in grades 4, 5, and 6 participated in the SSAF U12 soccer tournament. They played their best on the field. Thank you to Eden, Nikita, Emre, and Sasha (gr. 11) for helping at the game.
On Thursday, November 30th, students in grades 6, 7, and 8 participated in the SSAF elementary soccer tournament. They played their best on the field. Thank you to Eden and Nikita (gr. 11) for helping at the game.
Thank you to Mrs. Daria for coaching our teams. Looks like the early morning practices are paying off! GO PANTHERS GO!
FIELD TRIPS

Kindergarten to grade 2 students went to Kortright Centre on Thursday, November 23rd.
Grades 3 to 5 students went to Epic Fun Planet on day, Wednesday, November 29th.
Grades 6 to 8 students went to Archery Circuit on Friday, December 1st.
SAVE THE DATE: WINTER CONCERT
Prestige School will have their annual winter concert on Thursday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. This year students will be performing a show based on the seasons.
Like last year, both shows will be the same performance. KG to grade 3 parents are to attend the 11:00 a.m. show, in which KG to grade 3 students will receive a present from Santa after the concert. Grade 4 to 8 parents are to attend the 2:00 p.m. show. Parents must attend the time slot assigned to them, in order to accommodate everyone in the gymnasium.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. We can’t wait to see everyone!
REMINDERS
On Friday, December 8th, all students must be picked up by 3:50 p.m. the latest. Our complementary after school program will be cancelled. School buses will leave at 3:45 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Friday, December 22nd, is the last day of school before winter break. Prestige School will be closing at 2 p.m., so that students and staff can have an early start to their breaks.
Please make necessary arrangements for after school care on Friday, December 8th and Friday, December 22nd. Thank you.
